Windows cannot open this file.  Why?__
I'm trying to view sid and dbf files and Windows says it can not open the file and wants to know what file created it.These files are on an interactive DNR county map website I'm trying to view.http://www.co.boone.ia.us/gishome.htm1 person needs an answerI do too

You need to have a program installed that knows what do do with the files. Windows doesn't know what those files are. If you believe you have a program installed that can interpret the files, launch the program and then open the files in that program. If you don't know what program to use to open the files, contact someone from where you obtained the files and ask them what programs are used to read / manipulate the files. It appears a .DBF file may be a database file of some sort, and a SID file may be some kind of image database; you may be able to find a viewer here.
